Kriskras

Fashion lookbook photography by team Pasarella at Jan van Eyck fashionshow

Kriskras is a Dutch word with different meanings. It can means: in all directions, baffled and skewed or confused. Maybe it was just the way I felt? Or did I want to work in a “kriskras” kind of way? Not really sure but I do know I wanted to create a eclectic mix of silhouettes, colors and prints. A collection totally different from the pieces that normally go into production. I made a lot of new silhouettes. And really experimented with pattern drawing.

With the backless dress as a piece de resistance. I designed a cape-like back that comes from an idea I had imagining the wind knocking you in the face, bending back, your dress shifts: flat in the front and flowing in the back. Your front panel straight and calm, the back draped and shifted.

The pictures are taking right before the show I held at the Jan van Eyck garden during FASHIONCLASH Festival 2018.
